Replace modern trem with floyd?

Has anyone tried to drop in a floyd bridge to replace the modern trem? I’d love to try a non-fine tuner floyd bridge on one of my Sabres, but I think the stud/pivot spacing may be just slightly off. Curious if anyone has tried it.

Haven't tried, but I've wondered the same myself. The post spacing on my Sabre's modern trem looks awfully similar to the post spacing on my Axis's FR.

So... I got out my calipers and took some measurements. My Sabre's posts are a touch over 70 mm or so. My Axis's posts are more like 71.5, maybe slightly more. So roughly a millimeter, maybe 1.5mm, different spacing.
