Hello! Well as the title states I had to replace the rear loaded 9v battery box(Gotoh-no logo) on my Stingray bass. I was going to solder the new cables to the existing ones but for whatever reason I used two Wago solderless connectors. They seem to work just fine but would like to know what would be the proper way to measure using a DMM that the voltage isn’t being hampered/dropped in any way that would negatively affect it. An out-of-circuit unconnected fresh battery will usually measure a little higher than the nominal value when it's in circuit. You will not get the same voltage raising in circuit so keep that in mind.
Measure the voltage to ground where the red wire from the battery/output jack connects to the circuit board. If it's a fresh battery and you get anything close to 9V, you are good to go. If you can physically get the DMM probe to the battery in the box, compare that to the first measurement, they should be within 0.1V.
