So, I found an mm I really want but I prefer a rosewood neck to a maple with which it comes equipped. If I order a replacement neck, do I have to get the one that matches the serial # or can I get the one I want. Also; can I get it done in a matching color headstock. And if I can, can I still get a matching headstock if it's a discontinued color? Any info is greatly appreciated.

EBMM will only sell you a neck for your guitar in the configuration that it shipped with originally.

For example if you had a maple fretboard and non-matching headstock, they will only sell you another maple fretboard with a non-matching headstock neck.

Can you even buy just the neck.....or do you have to send the entire guitar in to have them do the replacement.....then they hold on to the old neck? It's what I understood, but have never done it myself.

I'm pretty sure EB would ship you the new neck after they received the old one.
