I have a 1991 evh turn up today it has a problem
I tried ringing customer service on this and I got nowhere I just got sent round the houses so maybe someone here could please help

I need to know if the two studs that screw into the evh body that the floyd rose sit on are available as replacements , I need to know as one of them on this guitar is completely useless its been stripped where the hex key fits in and it will not turn and as the action is 3mm high right now which is way too high for me and I cant adjust it I could do with finding out if replacements are available ,if they are not then the guitar has to go back .
I read somewhere on this forum that the saddles for the floyd on the evh are no longer available so Im wondering if the studs are no longer available ?

how do I find out and how do I order them

I don't know specifically, I'd think this would be hard information to find unless you talk to EBMM directly. Not really sure if the posts changed post EVH or not.

Here's their info: music-man-customer-service | contact-us. They're on Pacific time and closed Fridays.

If it were me, I'd send an email and ask. They're usually great on the turnaround time. That way they can go digging and find out for you.

Your other option might be to physically compare a newer Gotoh post to the one on the EVH. Perhaps take it off and take it into a local repair shop to see if it's the same?

Welcome to the Forum, sorry to hear about your guitar.

A Temporary fix would be to use Channel Lock pliers to grab the post, then turn it down.

Can you post a picture to this Thread?

Hi , I can but its a bit dark right for pics now Im in the uk and its 8.30 pm

I bought it from ebay and the seller has agreed to take it back so ive decided Im going to send it back , there are other problems with the guitar also
there are notes choking and buzzing even though the action is really high and the frets are a real mess
the jack isnt working most of the time its cutting out , the guitar looks amazing its absolutely beautiful but sounds terrible and plays horribly

I had a purple axis in my house recently which eat the evh for lunch .... the axis had an action slightly higher than 1mm and played like butter , yet the evh really is a bit of a dog
I cant see how this evh will ever setup like the axis was , I can lower the one stud on the one side of the floyd on the evh but even then the action only drops to 2 mm on that side of the neck ??? whats up with that ? its like something is stopping the floyd on the evh from going as low to the body as it did on the axis, I cant get it to budge at all on the side of the floyd with the damaged stud
