I need to replace my string lock insert blocks on my Axis. Some are so worn they barely hold the string into the saddle. Can anyone tell we which "series" of Floyd Rose is on the Axis. I would like to order the proper blocks but it seems that some of them are different.

That's a good question ... Best bet is to call or email the MM customer service guys directly and they can tell you. (Link in my signature).

Yes they are often different. I sought out some once for my Luke 1 ( the early Gotoh model) and failed to get any, even from my nearest dealer. In desperation I ended up buying an entire new 1996T bridge, which didn't fit by the way...so I swapped the saddles from the new one onto the old one, and that fixed it, but it was an expensive workaround.

I had to replace one recently... cracked off in the saddle. I just bought a replacement saddle from customer service. It was $20. Came with all the hardware.
