Returned my JP50 and ordered new JP6 today!

Hey everybody I'm a new member here but I've been lurking around for a while. Over this past weekend I bought a Sterling JP50. It was actually a great playing guitar, just couldn't get it to sound right with my gear. Was gonna upgrade the electronics and the pickups, but it still felt like a compromise of sorts. And I figured by the time I spend the money on the guitar and the upgrades, that would be a sweet down payment towards the real deal.

So today I returned the Sterling guitar and had them order me a new fully loaded JP6 in tangerine pearl! For some reason I was really drawn to that color. I've never seen a JP in that color before. Anybody out there have pictures of the JP in tangerine pearl? Now the waiting game begins!

Nice going there! Welcome, and congrats on the sweet order. You wont see pics of a JP in that color yet as it was just announced this past NAMM. Should be a very interesting color for a JP.

I love orange colors on Petruccis. My very first JP6 (which I sold years back) was desert gold. Amazing color, similar to firemist orange. Now this is the new orange color...please post some pics when you get it. You're going to be very happy. I have a modded out OLP Petrucci and it's nothing like the real thing, good move on your part. Modding cheap guitars can just be a money pit anyways.

Yeah I'm really happy I made the decision to get the real thing and the music shop gave me an awesome deal on it. I'll definitely post pics when I get it. Unfortunately it won't be until the end of May or beginning of June. Ernie Ball said 90 days for the build. It'll be worth the wait though.

Nice one! Looking forward to the pics as well. I'm a fan of the "orange flavors" as well. My Desert Gold Silo looks terrific in stage lighting.
