What's a good pedal to add reverb to your amp...

i'm tossing around the idea of adding a pedal to the effects loop for reverb... what's a good route to go...

for the sake a pricing lets leve this an open market for high and low end (i'm not opposed to using a pedal that isn't $300 if it works...) so please throw out some thoughts...

my current rig-
ORANGE AD30HTC
ORANGE PPC212
and either a HSH Silo or my 20th silo

Lots of options there. Check out the Nova Verb by TC Electronics as an option.

Assume your effects loop in line level? (as opposed to instrument level, like guitar) You'll have to find a reverb pedal that can handle the 4dBm signal (instrument level is -10dBm). I've been looking for this too. I have two reverb pedals. I like them both. But, the TECH 21 pedal has to go in front of the amp. The Hardwire Reverb pedal may be able to go in the loop, but I haven't had time to try it yet. Maybe a rack sized reverb?

I use a Holy Grail, best ive heard yet. Wouldnt mind a Hermida Reverb.....

Or maybe my incoming Eleven rack will have some kick ass reverbs.....

Let me know how you like the Eleven rack ( I assume your talking about the one from Digidesign) i was thinking about getting one of them also

I love my Carbon Copy delay in the loop, however.

for some reason this is magical... i've ran my carbon copy through the loop for some time now on other amps and it's my favorite.

I've been looking at the TC Stuff and i like it... but was thinking that if i go that route- i might as well buck up the extra few bucks and get the Nova system...
has anyone used the Nova System? I've seen some love for the GSystem and using the EB Volume pedal to control some of the modulations... could this also be done with this system?

trying to figure out the best bang for my buck...

I would recommend the TC Nova Reverb. Excellent sounds and easy to use. Has both a stereo in and out so it works great in a stereo setup.

I haven't tried the Nova System and they can bought for a good priced used. The only real knock that I've heard is that is has only a mono in and stereo out option. Fine if you're going straight from guitar to the front of an amp or two amps. However, if you have a stereo setup and prefer to use your amp loops then you wouldn't be able to do it. That was the only reason I chose not to go in that direction.

I'm now using the Eventide factor pedals and the provide a whole world of options but they do not yet have a VerbFactor although it is in the works.

I´m also using a EH Holy Grail in the loop. Works great, sounds good. For me no thoughts to change it.

The Nova Reverb is cool for a digital Reverb.

There's also the Holy Grail Plus, which has more options than the regular Holy Grail.

I have never used a reverb pedal - but I have heard nothing but great comments on the Hardwire series reverb

the Dr. Scientist Reverberator is the best ANALOG reverb I have heard in a pedal. It's amazing. For digital, probably the TC.
