I totally like the idea of WHITE REPLACEMENT PICKUP COVERS FOR HH STINGRAYS! :D

(and yes, I'm probably the only one in the world, and would want it for exactly one bass)

Not the only one Oli! Looking forward to white on these classics! Too cool

Just a little update...I have now played this bass on a handful of gigs and a few recording sessions and all I can say is WOW again! THIS is the sound I hear in my head when I think of MY perfect bass tone. I got to play in a large club (1500 seat) with a really great PA and they had an LS9 in there so my FOH guy did a REALLY good "board tape" through the onboard USB recorder and the Fiesta Red Classic just KILLED. I am going to try and get a sample up for everybody but the songs need to be separated as they are in single files of 3 or 4 songs at the moment. I am working on that now and hope to have something in a day or 2. The BIG thing I noticed is how punchy and present this bass is compared to my SR5 through the exact same rig with the exact same strings on both. My drummer (and the rest of band) LOVES this bass. He told me at least 4 or 5 times last night that is what a bass is supposed to sound and feel like. The tone is simply amazing and the playability is unbelievable. I had my SR5 there and tuned it up and sound checked the classic and the SR5. The FOH guy said the classic was a LOT more clear than the SR5. I could not turn up the bass very much on the SR5 before he said it got muddy but the SR4 could wide open and he was happy. I did not like the treble wide open but the more bass i added the fuller and fatter the tone. I LOVED it more or less wide open most of the night...:) I did not feel like it lost a thing with different EQ settings but sat very well in the mix no matter how I had it. I got a chance to listen to the recording on the way back from the gig (about a 4 hour ride with the FOH guy and 2 of my bandmates after our truck hit a deer and we wound up leaving the truck up there!!! But THAT is another story...) We al agreed that the bass sounded better than it EVER has in the 6 months or so I have been playing with these guys. I was threatened with death if I did not keep her...I am actually looking forward to getting another one with a Rosewood board just as son as I can!!! I think the pair of them would pretty much be it for me. I have been playing 5's exclusively with them since day 1 and this bass sounds so good that NOBODY said a word when I did not play the SR5 AT ALL...

I CAN"T WAIT TO GIVE HER A SISTER!!!

I am hoping that Natural is one of the colors or Sunburst or Transparent White would be good to...

Peace,

T
