Well, as usual, I put my foot in my mouth, and want to appologize to those I offened, mainly Big Poppa and Figjam....yes Figjam.....never too old to learn from a "youngun"...as they say. The Sting Ray arrived in pristeen condition, and after a few minor adjustments...plays like....er...olive oil....very fast, clean and leaves no residue.

Big Poppa and all, you make a great bass. I will, after being extremely attentive to my wife for some time to be determined, like to get a 5 string possibly in the future.

Thanks for all the jesting and such. This is a fun forum.

Hey Ric ~ glad the Ray is working out for you!

I equate having a Stingray in my arsenal the same way that a lot of other bass players look at the P-Bass...every bass player should have at least one.

I still have Bongo love first and foremost, but damn, it's good to have a Ray again!

I have a 4001 and a Ray and would not want to have to pick just one or the other. They are both very nice and very different basses.

Enjoy that StingRay!

I took my SR5 out of the case today for the first time in several weeks and fell in love all over again, EBMM basses are a true joy.

And thanks again ricplayer for all your help and advice on my Ampeg amp, you saved me a lot of reading and trouble, thanks.

With the wife issue, I wish you luck! My wife is great about these things!:D

BP will just recommend a shot of K1 to ease the crow down.

My Ray is honeyburst/rosewood too but I love the look of the standard white guard. It's like having a little spotlight on your right hand.

I do not think you will find better customer service than Ernie Ball. Although I must say the folks over at Ric are pretty damn good too.

Something about real family business I believe...

Congrats on the EBMM, you'll love it.

And my congrats at where you are with your music at such a young, (but mature) age. You should do quite well. Best of luck to you.
