Riddle me this..(Piezo connections)

Ok we have 2 outputs 1 says Magnetic/stereo and the 2nd Piezo/Mono ....now i take 1 cable from the Piezo to my DI box and then to the board ....Magnetic output goes to my amp....when i am home ...same thing except i go direct into my acoustic amp.......now what would the advantage be of using the TRS cable out of the mag/stereo output only and the EB splitter box? ....AM i missing something here? ...i seem to be confused on the stereo mono thing...if someone here could enlighten me ...i would be ever so happy .....my Godin never had the stereo mono deal ...just 2 outputs ...1 for Piezo and 1 for mags...Thanx in advance

if by TRS you mean stereo cable, to the best of my knowledge the only advantage is having 1 cable coming from the guitar instead of two.

Yup, there is the advantage of one lead. What I do is use the stereo lead out of the guitar into an EB 6165 pedal. The pedal then splite the signal and sends the Piezo to my AER acoustic and the mags to my Valve amp.

The pedal can then be used to totally control the combination of Piezo/Mags by either:-

Increasing the volume of each (in tandem) or by panning between the two.

So (I know I'm gonna take stick for this!!) lets use Stairway to Heaven as an Example.

Intro - using Piezo only, having the Mags panned to off.
Guitar solo pan the pedal to the mags.

It's a useful set up
