I finally got a chance to take a pic of the Sunn/Peavey rig and the basses recently, and threw myself in for good measure. Sorry about the Japanese invader.

I know it's probably the lighting/picture but that bass looks very Lava Pearlish to me.

Yeah-it's a very hard finish to photograph. I have some pics of it in sunlight that look better, but they're badly composed.

Yeah radiance red and lava pearl are very hard to tell apart unless they are right next to each other ;)

What a great thread. I love seeing people with their basses. You both look badass with your Bongos.

Man, that brings me back to the times of my Junior year in high school:eek:
Was at this ragin' party in Farmington Hills, MI near WLLZ(We Love Led Zeppelin:cool: ). Heard on the radio that Don Dokken, Mick Brown, and the new bassplayer for Metallica was there, the night before "Monster's of Rock".
Me and my buddy jump in the car and peel out the whole way there.
Got all their autographs:cool: It was funny cuz I mainly wanted to see Jason Newsted, I was HUGEinto Metallica then. He's kicken' it on the grass while Don and Mick were being trampled by the huge hair highschool hotties. Sat there and BS'd with Newsted for about 5 minutes. He was great!
Then I got to seem them dominate for the first time!!! Saw 'em 6 times after that in a 3 year period.... then Black came out, and...... It was the 'beginning of the end' of our relationship:( I recall Don Dokken coming off as very "smug". :p But hey, I was 17 and not him:D
