RIP Erik Pykala (Lance Romance)

Just heard that Eric Pykala, aka 'Lance Romance' here on the forum passed away last night. Here's the thread on Guitars Canada:

Eric Pykala (Lance Romance)

Eric used to be quite active here and had worked at The Arts music store in Newmarket, near Toronto. He's always been the MM fan, usually seen sporting one of his ALs. I'd met him several times and seen him play- killer player and a really nice guy. I remember him opening for Albert Lee at a clinic and he just smoked. (How you can rip it up on stage knowing you'll be followed by AL is a mystery to me.)

Anyhow, very sad news. Thought I would pass it on.

Jeez I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Lance and I corresponded during the time we were both buying a 2006 LEAL and struck up a great rapport.

I'll repeat what I said over on GC. Without a doubt the best guitar tech I'd ever seen and a truly great human being. He'd become a good friend in the short time he was here in London. Absolutely loved what he was doing. He's the one who turned me onto EBMM guitars. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
