I just found out myself. He was one of the first comics I really took to as a kid, and continued to enjoy both his comic and film work as an adult.

Black Ben the Blacksmith...my favorite album from Richard.

He'll be missed.

Man...that is sad. Especially what happened to him in his later years.

Well, I will watch "Harlem Nights" for the millionth time in memory of him.

RIP Richard....:(

One of THEE best stand ups ever IMO.

His Live on the Sunset strip concert film is a true classic.

He was pretty much the HENDRIX for almost all comedians in the last 20 years.

RIP Richard.

Sad to hear, he was one of the most talented people I had ever seen. :(

I've been a huge fan since I was a kid. I have some of his albums and a DVD of the "Sunset Strip" performance.

Mudbone stories are my favorite.. especially "Mudbone - Little Feets".

It is a sad day indeed.

I like that album cover of his.....

He's nailed to a cross surrounded by KKK members, the album is called "Was It Something I Said?"

RIP Richard
