Just finised re-covering the green cab I built. Now they both have matching Mesa tolex and wicker grills.

Haha! Well, I've never played the flute! The piping is the white line running around the grill.

Piping is highlighting, basically. In this case it's the skinny white cord (for lack of a better word) that outlines the edge of the grillcloth where it meets the cab.

another amazing job, Cud! Man, do you ever have time to actually PLAY with your toys? :D

Thanks and you're not kidding. Whenever I'm doing a project, it definitely cuts into my playing time.

My next two projects are to dis-assemble a US Strat I bought from a clearance sale for dirt-cheap and refinish it in pink, change tuners, bridge. And then, I'm going to build a storage unit for my entire rig including rack stuff, amp, modellers and pedal board.

Somewhere, some how, I'm also going to build some more guitars.

I don't know why I do it really. But it does feel great to finish something and then sit back and look at it, use it, etc.

Peace!

Great job - how about showing a "before" pic?
Spud

The bottom cab in the above pics is the one I built and finished in green tolex. Here's what it looked like last week.

Cud, was it you who built that JP guitar? This must have been a piece of cake in comparison. Nice work!

Yeah, I built that. Boxes are definitely easier to build. :) Let me stress that I don't build guitars for a living or for profit. I've only built the one. It's a hobby. Just wanted to clarify that so that BP doesn't feel this thread is a conflict of interests or anything like that.
