I would love to get one of those roasted maple necks guitar ; but I' am afraid of the amount of money required in France to have one of these... :(

And information about this limited sale isn't even advertised on French MM web site... I won't tell you about retailers : , they haven't heard of it.

French official importer seems to be on holliday already :p We'll have the information once the order time will be over...

Think I will have to wait two years or more to get one of those limited editions
(as I had to wait that long to enjoy my BFRs...)

This is really unfair

Hi Frenchkiss...

This was just announced last week. I can guarantee that you will have quite enough time to place your special order. Regarding the price issue -- well, that's been addressed a number of times. Euro is falling against the dollar, high VAT and other taxes...

BUT! We are very excited to receive your order! The ROASTED necks are FANTASTIC!!! Beautiful, lightweight, great resonance, super-durable and stable. And the Black Sugar finish is just dead sexy.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, send me an email: [email protected]

Cheers!

For some reason I ALWAYS miss the thread drama.

Maybe it's a good thing?

I must say Pete! Roasted Double Neck SIlo! Looking beautiful!

Wonder how JB's double neck morse would look w/ some yummy roasted action?

Does anyone remember John Petrucci getting a new black model JP a while back. Seems to me it was very similar to black sugar. I remember seeing a photo or video. Just wondering if that guitar was the basis for the black sugar color. Or if in fact that guitar was black sugar.

Steve, if I get time I’ll give it a go.

Are you asking for just the roasted maple headstocks or the whole Black Sugar look?

Whichever is easiest and most convenient for you. I realize this is in no way a production instrument of any sort, more of a thing of fun. So only if you've got the time.

:D thanks!

Yea, it was around the time between DDII and JPX release.

It was a black sparkle if I remember correctly. Not sugar. Can't remember perfectly though.

Let me start by saying in no way am I requesting this as an option, complaining or otherwise griping. :p I'm more than happy with the options offered and would jump on one of these if it was a possibility right now.

I am curious, though, if it's possible to do a full roasted maple neck without an ebony or rosewood fingerboard, or is there some reason from a technical standpoint or sound-wise that it wouldn't work. Just thought it would be a pretty sweet looking guitar and I'm wondering aloud, so to speak.
