Full maple roasted neck, on an AL. Oh baby. I would stock the war chest full of them!

^ The first thing that crossed my mind when I first saw pictures of BP's roasted neck Dargie Roller...

For now I'm glad the roasted package is being released and I'm sure they'll be even more stunning in the flesh! I'm really looking forward to those...but the thought of a roasted full maple neck AL is indeed mouthwatering. Maybe in the (not too distant) future...?

yeah these arent the last pieces of roasted maple
I know it makes no sense to start discussing potential limited runs when the official order window for these hasnt even opened yet and I really dont want or expect any details but as someone who's personel preference is 100% maple necks and from a financial point of view would not be able to afford buying several different Roasted neck Ltd runs should I hold off on ordering one of these current run of Roasted maple necks?

I want to re-iterate what others have said, this run looks stunning, the options are huge and in no way am I knocking what is being offered and if 100% maple roasted necks are not going to be available at some point in the future I will be ordering myself a Reflex from this run.

As a long time lurker I promise a new thread introducing myself with some Pics of my Musicman guitars soon!!

First let me give a big shout out to Jeff for giving us all a visual picture in our heads. Jeff maybe you should see if Sterling has an opening for you at the company and head south west.lol All jokes aside Jeff a really outstanding, and to be honest patient job. As I would of lost it around the fourth request.lol

I now have them all ingrained in my head and that JB double neck just did not look right as I am so used to the Black Sugar look. Right now if I had the option of any color I would still go with the BS. I am going HH AL all the way, just like you put it up Jeff.

For anyone that is going to have trouble justifying this it is very simple- it is a once in a lifetime opportunity! How many things can you possibly say that about. If there is still a problem just catch a marathon of Forensic Files, and hope you get away with it.lol

On the AL HH, are the inlay dots gonna be the small ones or the larger ones that are offered as is?

Thanx, Glenn |B)

The problem with discussion on this is that it getting micro analyzed to death. I mention what I think should be fairly obvious in that there is more roasted maple.....this is a very special and unique package to kick it off. When will the next ones come? I dont have a clue....

Please don't do anymore photoshops of roasted necks on other colored guitars. I've got enough B.A.S. as it is. That is a killer looking AL, by the way.

Very nice neck and job

that supose a glossy fretboard :confused:

i think the pics of BP with an roasted axis show a no glossy neck

This same kind of discussion often happens with the limited editions. Usually it's something pretty cool, and usually the cool thing works it's way into regular production.

These are really unique. I'd say, if you like the look of the finish then get one- they're sure to be scarce. If you just want the neck and aren't in a rush, you'll see th again one day- you just have to be patient. Personally, I think it's a really cool way to welcome roasted maple necks to the family.

and there is still room for you to do like pete did when the all RW limited edition was on he purchased a red pearl JP with RW swap the neck with his autumn sunrise sparkle JP and sold the red pearl JP with a regular non matching head

everything is possible, it's just a matter of knowing how far you are ready to go to get a roasted maple neck with the color of your choice :)
