AbsofrikkinSmokin... Mike, you are gonna love yours!

I'll be taking one to a photo booth tonight for some killer well-lit pro shots and will update photos asap.

The sugar (gold) is like a very fine mist over the black base, and is not a large metal flake. I will be able to capture that later tonight. If you have seen white pearl, then the opposite is black sugar!

Cell phone pics for now:

Awesome! The gold hardware is just SO right with that color and roasted neck combo. I'm not huge on gold hardware, but that works insanely well.

Oh my. That model has to be one of the most elegant looking guitars I have ever seen. I'm usually not such a fan of gold hardware, but that look with the roasting and the body finish is just flat out amazing.

Just did a quick A/B with the Roasted GR and non-roasted Dargie (unplugged), both set up to factory specs. Aside from the fact that no two cuts of wood sound exactly the same, to my ears the Roasted sounded more even across the tone spectrum while the Dargie seemed to have a slightly pronounced midrange, giving it a more nasal tone. Sustain felt the same, and so did the attack. I'd like to run them both through a frequency spectrum analyzer and see what's really going on!

As far as comfort goes, after 30 seconds of playing the Roasted I didn't even notice the finished neck.

So far I'm digging the balance from the Roasted, and will do my best to shoot a halfway decent comparison vid when I get home Sunday night.

Looks bloody awesome. After making the most comfy axes around for a long time, EBMM is building some of the best looking ones as well for the last couple of years. The tops get suckier, the colors get cooler every day, the necks are stunning, that roasted is SO pretty.
