I just picked this one up from Boombox(Brandt @ G.C. Atlanta). It is by far the best Musicman I have ever owned. I had never owned or played a
SR 5 HH until I played the Teal Pearl Roasted Ebony fingerboarded G.C. exclusive one in Manchester CT. I was going to buy it but seeing how I love maple fingerboards more than ebony ones I let it go to buy this one. I am really glad I did. The maple fingerboard not only sounds better IMO but it looks amazing.

This is the bass I have been looking for. After all the Musicmans I have been through and I have been through a lot this year it's so nice to find one I love. The feel of the bass is perfect. It feels like home. It's so versitile that it can cover any of the gigs I do. I play all kinds of styles from heavy metal to funk to jazz to pop rock in the bands I play in. It's going to be really nice to have one bass that can cover it all. Now I just need a fretless version

I can't say enough good things about the craftsmanship of this bass. From top to bottom its a fine piece of work. I just stare at the roasted maple neck and fingerboard and marvel at it. E.B. did a great job on these basses.

A big thanks to Brandt from G.C. in Atlanta. His customer service was great.

I will post some more pics of it later this weekend but here are some from the G.C. website.

Black Sugar was the LE Colour. I wouldn't use the word "settle" More like privledged to even get the chance to order one. Black Sugar will be known as the colour that started the Roasted neck option. I can't wait until mine arrives.

I played one today at MacCauley's Music in Cambridge....it really was the best feeling neck I have ever played, bar none, in 20yrs of trying out basses...it was stunning..
