Micro Cube is very good practise amp. Of course i can't compare it to my rig, but this little thing is so good around the house when watching TV or play along with radio.

me too. its a pretty good little amp... but honestly, im liking it less and less

Same here. I think it's good for a portable little practice amp. It just sounds very artificial. The onboard effects? Well, you can't really control them very much, and you can only have one at a time. It's not bad. I just rather play my Mesa at low volume.

Yeah. It's good in that respect. I agree. It's a little bit more difficult to move my Mesa from room to room. :)

ya exactly..and personally the efx dont matter much to me.

but my main issue is that, to me, the dirty channels dont sound good at low volumes. the whole point for me getting it was to have a small amp that sounded fine for practicing after 10pm etc. since i dont much like the dirty channels at low volume that defeats the purpose

i never bothering trying it with the volume low when i bought.

the dirty channels are fine for daytime/louder practice... they just suck when you turn it down

I have one, great practice amp, but can't keep up with a drummer. I wish it could, it's easy to tote. Yes, the gain sounds may not be all that, but we are talking about an easily portable sub $300 amp.

I keep it downstairs behind my couch. When I get the time and urge to play electric on my back porch, I pull the Roland out.

I would replace it if it were lost or fried.

ive been trying out the cube 30 and 60, great cleans, crappy gains. thats ok, i got enough great overdrive pedals which seem to work fine with the cube.

Yeah. I think the dirty sounds are the weak part too. So, that's why I use the effects. Get a little delay on there to smooth out lead type sounds. It's okay.

If I play an accoustic ,sometimes plug in my Godin acs to Roland Cube 60 ,I think acoustic preset is usable,
Clean channel is pretty good for my semihollow Ibanez in swing or jazzy music- I used a Cube during the tour as a backstage monitor almost 2 month .

I got the micro, may have even started the trend here. I use it clean and like its portability when miked through PA it sounds pretty good. But I think the acoustic channel is terrible. And you can actually use delay and chorus together as well as a few other combos.

Judging from dwells song using a cube and my experience with a micro cube about 4 years ago, I'd say it sounds pretty good! I loved my line 6 spider III 15 combo amp coz I could lug it ANYwhere and the volume was astounding. I thought it sounded pretty evil so I nicknamed it 'the little devil'. I had to sell it to get up the funds for my mesa, but I might have to find an easy carry around amp again, and I might go with the Cube 30...

A mate of mine has a cube 60, it's good for a practise amp, it's got great cleans, but the gain channel is not so great. But he uses it as his gigging amp, well he's a singer who plays rhythm guitar, so it's all he'll need, and he has no trouble cutting through.

Scott.
