the Eric johnson Jazz III picks a little bit bigger then regular jazz and the raised lettering make it harder for them to slip out of your hand or the 1.14 tortex picks. also i really like the new tortex T3 regular tortex shape with a jazz III tip.

Thanks, Gio, for giving me the Eric Johnson pick last week. I love the size and shape of the Jazz III picks now that you introduced them to me!

That's my new pick, fellas!

Prior to my recent conversion to the Jazz III's, I was using the Cool Picks Juratex with the sand texture, but they have been feeling too big for me since I really choke up to the tip of my picks for my squeals!

Jazz III's One complaint is that I have to grip them pretty tight to keep them from moving about when fast picking. Also a tad small. I once had some Jazz III XL's which were perfect, but they're only available online and I feel silly ordering only a small bag of picks.

Dunlop Ultex Jazz III 1.38.
Prior to that I was using just the regular Jazz III's, and even before that I used the XL Jazz III's.
Then there were the days of the Tortex 0.88 (Green).

Jazz III Ultex. They never seem to wear out!

If you have a sloppy picking style like me, they'll wear out. :) Apparently I pick with a diagonal string contact (instead of flat). That seems to kill the picks' points. I never thought about this until I read an interview with Neil Schon in which he mentions that he does the same.

Eric Johnson Jazz 3s. Using them as long as I can remember. Also EJ specifically requested a different plastic compound than the regular Jazz 3s that reduce pick noise on contact.

Amazing pick. Pricey, but soooo worth it

Ultex Sharp, 1.4mm. But I still can't make up my mind if I do like the 1.14mm better. They get nicer with a little bevel after a bit of playing.
