But, if you loose the tension on the springs, the back of the bridge gets pulled up, but the part where it's screwed to the body can't stay 100% flat. That would be bending the metal the bridge is made of... :confused: So, does that mean the bridge would be a little looser?

There's a balance between tension from the springs and tension from the strings. In this case, there will be a little less tension from the springs and so it will feel a little looser to use the bar. But presumably that's what you want if you want a floating trem.

Thanks, but I kinda don't get it :eek:

Will the entire bridge be a little looser? Like, not so secure....
