What is the difference between the 2009 BFR rosewood neck run and the 2013 non-BFR rosewood run, other than the BFR inlay? Anything? Thx.

I have both. The BFR roasted neck from 2010 only came in a Black Sugar finish unless you got a Guitar Center exclusive model. But it was basically the exact wood of whatever model you ordered so in my case, my Bongo was made of basswood. The roasted neck also came in a gloss finish.

The PDN Honeyburst roasted neck from 2013 came with a matte finish roasted neck, no matter what model you ordered, it came with African mahogany wood, and a pau ferro fretboard and all were given the honeyburst finish.

Just talked with EBMM CS. They indicate that the all rosewood neck production runs from 2009 and 2013 are the same for the Bongo. Only difference is the BFR badge.
