Hi all,

First post here.. I'm thinking of getting a new MM and am interested in neck woods. I have an ASS and love the buttery feel of the maple neck, but am open to rosewood (Albert HH in particular). Does anyone know what other models have a rosewood neck & fingerboard?
Also, does anyone have a preference re: rosewood v. maple necks?

Thanks in advance!

Currently we only offer the Albert Lee HH with an all rosewood neck. A couple of years ago we offered, for a month, any instrument with an all rosewood neck (this is where the idea of the "true gold Luke" was derived... we offered those earlier this year and they featured an all rosewood neck). You can still find some of these used if you look hard and are patient. There was also a time when we offered the Axis and Super Sport with an all rosewood top and all rosewood neck.

I've got a 25th Anniversary with a rosewood neck and it is brilliant. The best feeling neck that I've ever had (I've had at least 50 guitars by now).

I will be picking up an Albert Lee HH with a rosewood neck in 2012.

Go for it. You'll love it.

Redburst21 has one of the rare & beautiful (25 made total) 25th Anniversary with BFR rosewood neck guitars in the For Sale thread now. These are killer. It's all I can do to manage to not buy it and have a pair of them, but somebody else should get to have one of these.

I've got a JP in white with the all rosewood neck. Bought it during the limited run a few years back and haven't put it down since!

I have a rosewood neck Morse and used to have a rosewood neck JP6 (that I wish I still owned). They are simply amazing.

The RW necks are easy to love- buttery smooth and look great. Definitely pick one up if you have a chance. The HH AL is a monster of a guitar, as is the 25th mentioned (I can't believe the one in the F/S thread is still around, for that matter).

I love the all rosewood neck models. If you're willing to look around the used market, you could probably find any model you'd like with the neck (for a price); but as mentioned, the AL HH are the only current models (they're awesome though).

I have an all rosewood BFR Luke. Definitely a 'warmer' feel.

Hey Everybody,

Thanks for the great responses. Looks like there are some fans out there! Still on the fence, but y'all sure do make rosewood sound appealing. Now on the to next Q (fixed bridge v. trem), which will be a separate post.

Thanks to all the enthusiasts on this forum that help us novices out!

Peace

An all rosewood neck is my favorite neck option. I have a couple and love them to death. As stated - feel is great and the tone is awesome (warmer and chimey to my ears).
