This isn't an EBMM guitar, so I wanted to put it in the general area:
Does anyone have any ways to tell just by looking if a rosewood fingerboard is cracked or if it is just the grain?
The guitar in question is one I just got from an online retailer, NEW, and I can't tell. I have seen cracked ebony boards in person, but never rosewood. The rosewood has a lot of grain showing, i.e. it isn't super smooth, and I don't know if it is just a long section of grain (runs between 14th and 15th fret) or what.
Any help will be appreciated.
