Got the new album on Monday and it hasnt been off my car stereo since. I really like it. Sonically its sounds amazing (much much better than VT) and the songs sound totally different to anything they have done before although there is a touch of Counterparts and Presto in their as well as a bit of hemispheres and even hold your fire!!

Most important though, its nice to hear some solos from Alex again. i didnt buy into this "no solos" thing on VT, seemed like a total waste as Al has come up with some of the most memorable solos in rock! Nice to see them back.

Havent decided on a fave song yet cos they are all really good. Still find it amazing that even after 30 years and 20 odd albums they are still producing fresh music like this. Cant wait for the tour...lets hope they drop ALL covers and the unplugged bit though

Yeah I am all for the dropping the covers but Resist done acoustic is apsolutely incredible in my humble opinion. :)

I'm guessing that the covers will be gone on this tour. I get the feeling they were just a bit of fun for the R30 jaunt?

I think the acoustic set may stay, if only for Neil to recover after his solo!

Resist was great. I'd like to hear The Pass or Presto done acoustically next tour.

Oh yes! I think i didnt like the acoustic bit mainly cos i dont like Resist as a song. I think the Pass would translate nicely to acoustic or maybe Losing It or Bravado.

PS Snakes and Arrows is working its way to being one of my fave Rush albums ever!
