I've had a musicman SUB four string for about 8-10 years now, and after some time without regular playing I've found that the neck is still noticeably bowed even after the truss rod has been tightened as far as it will go. Short of buying a new neck, which might not even be possible (I don't think they make American made SUBS anymore), what can I do?
If there's nothing to be done, will a Stingray neck be compatible? This was my first (and only) nice bass, and I'd really like to keep it all original as long as possible.

A stingray neck will fit. But i would go to a good luthier or contact ebmm customer service first...

+1 customer service.

You might wind up with a natural finish
neck with some other model name than
S.U.B. .... I doubt EBMM wants to paint
one neck black just for you, but you DO
have an EB bass, and they still make a
neck that fits on it [SR4, as prev post].

Acoarst, your s/n is currently a sticker
on the reverse of the headstock. Maybe
BP will hand write it onto your new neck
and date and autograph it as well :)
