Oh yeah I did see a SUB "in person" only it was a Stingray
Also played it but it feels different than a normal Ray It's just not for me...
I my self have a Sterling so I'm quite sure that I'm not gonna like the SUB Sterling either ! (C'mon !! where's that switch ??? )
I meant that the Sterlings are not in Belgium yet (If they would be here they would first be in the U.K.)

Anywayz...

How about a bit of thought before responding?

And one thought I would like you to keep in mind when you respond is that this forum exists due to the extremely good work of the Ernie Ball corporation.

I don't have any guidelines from them, mind you, they've pretty much left us all to our own devices here, but:

1. Offering a negative opinion on a bass you're never played is....help me, I'm looking for a word....oh yeah, ignorant.

2. Insulting a product you've never played in a forum owned by the company that made the product is, again, ignorant.

Now the good thing is that ignorance can be overcome with the acquisition of more information. I suggest you do some information acquisition before insulting a bass that many of the members here own and love.

This is the diplomatic way of calling someone an asshat.

I am not known for my diplomacy.

"seemed" interesting at first

It wasn't that fact that you responded, or even said it "sucked". It was the fact that there was no reasoning behind your claims. Just saying: "SUB=SUCK" isn't the most informative, if you know what I mean.

Other than that - I like to read all opinions. If anything, a little "negative" helps balance the scales. It was just the way you put it...

Yes, but negativity without knowledge, or a basis in fact isn't balance. It's simply unwelcome/unwanted/unhelpful white noise.

Another thing evil kneivel, if you think SUB's suck then why did I recently see one of James Browns' bass players using a SUB4.

IMO, surely, there are few endorsements better than that.

After reading EEB's comments, I think I will sell my SUB5 to some unsuspecting dweeb that isn't aware of EEB's exacting knowledge of bass guitars as soon as it arrives. After reading his scathing review of the SUB, I don't see how I could ever even think of playing that bass. It would probably completely destroy my playing abilities and also render me sterile just by opening the case and plugging it into my amp. And that doesn't even take into consideration what it would do to my amp. Your not going to count me as one of the victims of this bass! :p

Well, your joke would be appreciated as funny if it was, you know.....actually.....funny.

And, not liking it is fine, too. But, at least give some qualification. A simple, "I don't like the look of the black neck," or "I don't like the Roadmaster 4000 pickguard." You don't have to have played one to dislike it on that level. Aesthetics are part of the appeal of an instrument--if it doesn't make the pleats in your pants go away, that has to be taken into account.

You have to have realized that your comment was going to be subjected to ridicule and scorn. So, take your punishment like a man, and we'll be done with presently.

Or, at least when someone else says something stupid, and we move on to them with a pack mentality. :D

What you should probably do is find out what amp EEB hasn't played but has an opinion on.
