i was wondering what u guys thought about the SUB

see im 14 and 2 cheap to spend 1000+ on a bass

iv heard this is a relitivly good for ur cash
i was wondering what u guys think and if it would be a good bass to spend 600 on

.... the SUB is an excellent option for the money, but be sure to try alot of different basses (brands) to make sure you find the right bass for you, which will most likely be a SUB!

I have had the active model for about two months and absolutely love it. It's a serious piece of hardware and you will have to put a little effort into getting the tone and sound you want.
Mine seems to like being slapped too.

and the main difference between the 2 is that the passive has less tone range
and the active has more?

Speaking of the SUB, I just purchased one a week ago and love this tone monster! I am a long time Fender P and J player that never played a MM bass before I walked in to this music store, with cash in hand to buy a new Highway 1 J bass my heart was set on.

Seeing the MM basses hanging there, I had to check em out. I played a Sterling and loved it, but I was not ready at that time to spend the cost for it. Then I played a SUB and fell in love with the tone, the neck and affordibility of this bass. Wow! Thanks Music man for the great product! I have a white one which I will change the pickguard on soon.

I have since learned this bass is bassically a 2 band, slab body Stingray. VERY nice bass for the $. I paid $575 at the Music Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin for this brand new SUB. I believe I got a good deal.

Why ? what's wrong with the passive one.I ask this because I actually thought it sounded pretty good especially going thru a Sadowsky DI.IMO I think it would've been nice if the SR4/SR5 would've had an Active/Passive system.

I purchased an active SUB right after they hit the stores. It difinitely is a great sounding machine and will put many others to shame.I later thought about buying a fender or??, could not find another(in relative same price range) to match the sub.
