Sabre II DOB

I'm trying to help a friend gather some information on his guitar and amp so he can sell them. The guitar is a MusicMan TM Sabre II serial # A002115, the amp is 212 HD One fifty, serial # C008898. He bought them new in the early 80's but can't remember what year. DOB would be appreciated, also if you can point me to a website for more information and or a value?

You can stick the serial # to the - "My Ernie Ball Serial # is.." Thread up at the top of the thread page.. I am sure Dan will come back with something.. EBMM CS is the best

i doubt they'd have records of that.
the sabres are old!

The Sabre guitar predates EB's purchase of MM; they don't have records on them (or on the amps).

Like EBMM, G&L, and Leo-era Fender you can't date a Leo-era Music Man by the serial number alone; you have to remove the neck and check the dates stamped on the neck heel and on the body in the neck pocket.

EBMM keeps great records and has a great customer service team - that's why they are able to look up DOB requests on guitars produced since they bought the company in 1984 so quickly.
