Here is a link to some Randy Rhoads-Rudy Sarzo-Tommy Aldridge era Ozzy live videos with some cool Sabre footage.Rudy's Sabre looks and sounds great. If you look close Rudy has a Jazz bass on deck that never see's any playing time(I wonder why:D )There are four videos, download them before they're gone!

Actually the Jazz Bass is used for the songs they tuned flat on. He used it primarily when he was in Quiet Riot.
I have a compilation video of Ozzy/Randy Rhoads stuff that shows him w/ the MM a lot. I also have the Speak Of The Devil DVD in which he uses the Sabre on all but the E flat songs.

Yep, Black/Maple. I never knew that Rudy thumped on the verses of Suicide Solution. Did you get it to load yet?

Website not responding for me still. I am very close with Rudy and that black/maple Sabre was stolen many years ago from a studio in Hollywood and he's been looking for it ever since.

If you're referring to the studio version, it was Bob Daisley on bass (Lee Kerslake on drums).

Bob was on the third tour with Jake E. Lee.

Great bass player!

Sorry.....Bob Daisley plays on Both Blizzard & Diary. Only thing Rudy Sarzo plays on is Speak Of The Devil & Tribute(except No Bone Movies & Goodbye To Romance). Matter of fact, Bob Daisley played on all of Ozzy's studio albums up to No More Tears except for The Ultimate Sin.

Really ? All this time I thought Rudy played on Diary? So Speak Of The Devil is Rudy Sarzo, Brad Gillis and Tommy Aldrige then ? Sorry it's been a while, most of the old Ozzy stuff I had on either vinyl or cassette and has been packed away for a while..........

Rudy's pic is on the Diary album along w/ Tommy Aldridge but neither of them play on it......Blizzard & Diary have the same lineup. Rudy & Tommy joined Ozzy shortly after the recording of Diary.

I think the biggest reason most people would assume that Rudy and Tommy were on the first two Ozzy albums is because they were actually the touring band w/Randy.

After Randy died, Rudy went back to Quiet Riot to do Metal Health (and probably the Condition Critical album, as well). I forget what Tommy did after leaving Ozzy.

Technically, they were already in the band for the first two tours.

They were on tour for the American Blizzard tour.....Bob Daisley & Lee Kerslake did the European tour.....hence the recordings from the Mr. Crowley E.P.(the picture disc)
