Question Saddle Adjusting

Just curious - when adjusting string height on individual saddles, understanding the the saddles following the radius of the fingerboard (ie, not all the level to eachother), do you try to keep each saddle parallel to the bridge plate, or do you tilt it to the right or left depending on string?

I have always tried to keep them parallel to the bridge plate from right to left of each saddle, but I just got one of my guitars back from a very reputable tech who has them tilted - that is the low E string saddle sits higher on the A string side, the A saddle sits higher on the D string side etc then the G saddle sits lower on the B string side and the B saddle on the E string side etc.

That made me curious as to if there is one way better than the other

Each one parallel. Obviously better for load distribution and to prevent strings from moving (notched saddles obviously don't have that problem).

The curved thing is just done so that it looks prettier and the customer walks away smiling about the "professional setup".

Yes - that was always my logic - better load distribution.
