Hello! I just received an Axis Super Sport that I ordered online. 1st Ernie Ball Music Man guitar I’ve ever had. Love the guitar but have an issue with the saddle height adjustment screws on the d and g strings. They stick up higher than the saddles and my hand hits them while playing! I have emailed cust service and haven’t heard back from them yet. I also called today but I had to leave a message. Is this normal? See pic attached. Thanks!

Pretty standard grub screws, I just don't recall the thread ro length. I have a variety pack or two that covers a few guitars and absses that I have because it's always an issue. And yes, those would annoy me as well. If I get a chance tomorrow I will dig through the parts drawer to see what I can find. They may be M3 x 6mm Stainless Hex Socket Set Screws and are available in different lengths, like 3mm-10mm, etc. Maybe Music Man part # M05134. Folks will say to cut or grind them shorter. And while that would work just fine I find that job to be a PITA because of their small size.

Worst case, pull one, take it to a local well stocked home type store with a good hardware dept, if for nothing more than to ID the thread size. Then get a cheap kit on Amazon. I do know that EBMM sells them though as I have purchased from them in the past.

I actually heard back from them this afternoon thru an email and they said they would send me a set that has different lengths to change out the long ones! Thanks!

Before you change them … are those heights correct? Doesn’t look like there’s much of a radius there. The heights should follow the neck radius so the strings are the same height off the fretboard.

Not sure but that’s how it arrived. I haven’t adjusted them. Action is low and nothing is buzzing. Maybe the angle I took the picture?

Was this a brand new guitar ordered online, or a used one? I agree with others that it doesn't look like there is much of a radius on the bridge saddles. The fretboard radius on those is 10 inches, so it should definitely be noticeable from that angle.

Usually they have longer screws in the middle because those saddles would be higher.

yes it was brand new. It plays great other than the screws sticking up but I’m getting used to it
