So, I recently picked up this beauty and while the string height and sound is perfect, I've noticed the saddles are barely off the bridge, particularly the G string saddle. Is it normal(or even okay) to have the saddles sitting that low??

The neck is perfect by the way, with enough relief....and the intonation is also close to perfect.

Thanks for the help fellas!

yes, worry not!

And... WOW what a lovely example of translucent blue teal finish, man that colour is precious.

Give that maple neck a bit of Wonder Wipes / gun stock oil & wax t.l.c. and that bass will love you long time! Well done!!

Thanks, I certainly appreciate the input. When I bought it it had tapered strings on it, and so the saddles were a little higher. Figured I'd ask the masses on the forums!

Thanks!!

Yeah, I bought the EB wipes and did a once-over before adding the new strings. It helped....you should have seen how filthy it was before. I'll have to find a post which describes proper cleaning method, and where to get the cleaning supplies.

Love the Bongo by the way....I thought it was a Stealth-model at first glance.
