After a long long time of consideration, I finally bring the Morse(w/ Floyd Rose) home!
It is such a nice guitar, much more comfortable than my Ibanez RG!

I have some question regarding to setting up the guitar. Since I bought it from my local store and I believe the settings have been altered by the staffs there.

1. The bridge on the treble side is about 1mm higher than the bass side. I should balance them out, am I correct?

2. I find the action to be a little bit high, but the screw on the bridge is already all the way down, what can I do to adjust the action? Also, should I leave it that low? 'cos its touching the body of the guitar.

Thanks! EBMM Rocks!

it's hard to say without really looking at it. Have you adjusted the trussrod? I would take it in for a setup. Have you posted pics yet?

This guitar is sweet!! I also thought about a sunburst one, but I would have had to order it. So I took the blueburst from the shop, which had a very good price.

As I suppose while looking on the third of your pics, the shop or the former owner changed the pickup height. I can´t tell anything about the string height, but the SC´s on your guitar seem to be lower on the bass side and a bit higher on the treble side. this maybe the same thing with the trem. But stock is, that the SC´s are low on the bass side and very (!) low on the treble side.

greetz,

what a guitar...

if the bass side is where u like it......it's possible to use a shim on the treble side only of the neck pocket. i find that the little black nylon washers that come w/ rack mount screws work very nicely for this. i put one on the bottom neck screw between the neck and the bottom of the neck pocket. this will aquire you some bridge height on the treble side only........while minimizing the shim usage. there very well may already be a shim in there too.....
don't overtighten yer neck screws !!!!

hmm...should the bridge sit tight on the body(i.e. screw the springs at the back in and increase the tension), or make it just touch the body lightly?
