The DC-3 does everything I want it to do and gives me the tone I want so there's really no reason to get something different at this point. I love Mesas, but i've owned quite a few in the last two years. This one is one of Mesas most underrated amps IMO! I like it more than any other amp I've owned... the Roadster is a close second.
I have to keep telling myself that I don't need much since I just play at home and look forward to jam sessions every other month or so... If ever there was tube tone at a bang for your buck price this amp is the one...

The Roadster is a Recto at heart so of course it has a very loose 'fizzy' or 'grainy' type of lead. The DC-3 has a much more Mark series type of lead tone. It is smoother and tighter, but not as tight as a Mark. I think it is quite perfect for rhythm and leads alike.
