I just received a brand new set of Sadowsky flats for my Bongo 5 HH (45-130). The extra tension is nice, and the sound is as good or better than any other flatwounds I have had (TI's, pyramids, chromes, fender 9050's)
But I am down to one bass now, and I realize I want a little more "dirty and growly" sound on my Bongo than I am going to get from flats, no matter how good they are.
These strings cost $53 from Roger ($48 + $5 shipping).
If anybody wants to try these and save a few bucks, I'll ship them to you for $35, paypal OK,
Or, if anyone happens to have an abalone pickguard they aren't using (or some other color that might look good with a CAR bongo), maybe we could work a swap,
