Pics Pending...

They're coming (Jack - that made me laugh out loud!), but you'll have to wait just a bit - I am planning a full-on photo shoot real soon (like within 24 hours)...

It sounds so freakin' great! My initial thoughts and observations...

Roundwounds sound great, really great, but I will probably go flat later this evening by swapping strings with my Sterling. The Sterling becomes the "roundwound slapper bass" for a while. This puppy becomes my new number one.

I love the color... I am not a big color guy (I have two basses in Sapphire Black!) but thought I'd go a bit out of my comfort zone on this one. The Candy Red is awesome - has a glint to it that I love (like the Sapphire Black) and it's a deep Crimson - like a blood-red - and the Abalone pg works real well. I love it!

Double hum with piezo - wow. First, I am a complete piezo fan - hard to describe, but the piezo adds both a "presence" and a percussive "thump" to the tone. I am generally a 50/50/50 guy and the piezo definitely brings the right stuff to the party. It's a no-brainer option for me and highly recommended for y'all to check out if you haven't already.

I like the HH config - it's agressive and overall, this one feels a bit gutsier than my HSp, though tough to call due to the stings - more later.

So, my wife comes 'round after watching me rush down to my room and feeling me rattle the house for a while.

"You're happy? You like it?" she asks... I smile and tell her to take a look, it's hangin' in my room...

She goes in a shouts "Which one is it?"

I'm already thinking a single Hp won't be hard to smuggle in...

Thanks Guys!

I took the opportunity to be a bit "creative" and thought about getting a Christmas feel to the photos while still squarely focusing on the Bongo.

I love to get way up close with a wide-angle lens!

I'll admit I'm not a fan of those "acid-trip" pick guards, but that Bongo is spectacular looking. Great photography to boot, nice angles!

Oh, and nice nut crackers.
