Satin Finish

Has anyone ever (shudder) put a finish on their EBMM neck? Satin, or glossy?

Would a Satin finish on the neck make it easier to maintain?

Would it totally ruin the neck, or just slightly change the feel?

Just did the oil and wax to one of my silos (a 93 that had a lot of love put on it). Loved the results! I think I am ready to do it to my 02 piezo trem now.

You mentioned that the truss rod should be loosened before pulling the neck. How much?
