Hey my pleasure...even though I have two silos and other guitars, I still play my SUB's...yeah I love the meaty neck!

Hey Raz,

Just checked out your site. Nice chops. I think my favorite is Hollow One. It has a nice Satriani-ish feel. Is that a band in the background, or some cool software?

Oh stop it...who paid you to say such things :o No, no band, its all done on a Zoom MRS8SD 8 track with built in drum machine. I simply find a beat (cause I cannot program one worth the schiznits) play a rythm, lay down some bass then wing out some cheesy chops. Didn't take long, all in the name of fun. I appreciate the kind words. I am however working on some new tunes. I've got way better tone and this time I'm going to take my sweet time and actually write a solo...should be fun. As far as Hollow One goes, I totally botched it, I think I am going to do it over and actually work hard on it. The thing is with those types of songs, songs without a real rythm, its kind of hard to play something then build to a climatic solo and stuff...I have no idea how to approach them...maybe find the root notes and lay down a bass track...I don't know...thanks :D

Did you try the Sub?

Hey Raz,
Yeah I did and thanks for the heads up. I was in my local shop last night and knew that they a few so I tracked one down and played with it while my step-son had his lesson.

Man, I was blown away by the playability of that guitar. It was actually set up pretty good, so a quick tune and I was in business. I'm seriously considering buying one of those to take with me on trips and stuff. I'm always overly anal about taking my Petrucci or the new Silo on business trips, camping etc.

You were right on in blasting the guy who said that the Subs were an inferior or should I say lesser EB product. They rock!!!

Right on bro, right on! Yeah that finish is everything proof, no fingerprints, scratches, its awesome...those tuners rule also!

i got my sub at GC while they were so cheap (ah, the cash strapped life). it took me 2 trips to get it. i kept trying to get one that was stashed high, and all i would get is a blank stare when i asked someone to get it down, or "Why?". one salesman even brought me an OLP....(i know nothing about those, and it could even be good, but c'mon). i traded in a fender to get my cinnamon babe :D . to me, the best part of fender right now is the squiers (i am not talking koala-ty or anything, just creativity and "fun" models)....PRS? well, i like them, but not at the prices. to me, the SE models are very good, but nothing that couldn't be made in the US for the same list. they could just ask EB/MM how.... :D
