BP would have to chime in on this one, however pre-production EVHs were LONG before 1992 , as I have owned MANY 1991s. Thats also a POST EVH numbering system with the G, as far as I know. Maybe an Axis EX ??? Or some kind of EVH that had a broken neck, and was replaced with an Axis neck ? Very interested to see what the story on this one is ......

I checked the serial and it came up as an end 90's Axis. Aziah said it was definitely not a pre production EVH. Contacted the seller and he said he would change the description but he didn't. Don't buy this guitar.

Edit- here's Aziah's response

"Hi Luc,
There are a few inconsistencies as to what the seller says of this guitar on the auction. I talked to our head engineer and designer about this one. First off, Axis was never the "working name" for the EVH guitar, this is not a Pre-Production prototype in any way. This may have been and old EVH body that we had here, but we can't be exactly sure. Our records show that this was indeed produced as an Axis model and sold to Strings & Things in the UK in 1998. The neck that shows the writing and date on the guitar is also incorrect. At the time, that was not the format that we used to date necks. Anyone could have written that on there. I hope this info helps!"
