Hi guys,

Thought I'd introduce my band The Storyline to you all with a video of our demo, a song called 'Escape To Reality'. This one was recorded last year and it's the second of three we've done so far. There's still room to improve but we're using low budget recording gear so be gentle. :D

I use my EBMM SUB1 on this one with slight mods I did to it. 500k pots, the bridge pup is CrunchLab and neck Cruiser Bridge (best neck pup I've ever used). Neck sanded and tru-oil/wax treated the classic EBMM style. The pickguard is cut with a tool similar to Dremel, so you can blame me on the rough finish on that. :p

You might notice that the bass player and other guitarist aren't using EBMM gear and I'm working on it. They definitely should! Can't say enough good things about the Balls I've played.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the vid and feel free to drop a comment. So much good music here on the forum, keep on rocking!

I enjoyed that. Are your guitars running straight to the "board" or are there some amps miked off somewhere? If so, what kind?

Thank you thousand times guys, very uplifting and supportive of you! :)

very cool I like it, is you keyboard player influenced by Tony Bank?
I asked and he hadn't heard of him before. Perhaps the answer is positive in the future now that he's looked him up.

We miked my Mesa F-50 head, which by the way is a lot of amp for its price in the market. Great cleans and does modern high gain well, too. Two mics, a SM57 to GAP Pre-73 preamp and then some T.bone ribbon straight to sound card. Cab was Framus 2x12 with V30's.

The rhythms and leads in all the three songs on our channel are all F-50, except on 'Domestic Violence' the rhythms came from ENGL Thunder 50 head. If anyone's interested in the amps settings, I can look them up.
