Hey guys, first time as an OP here.

I have a JP15 in Blueberry Burst on order and I bought a JP170D as a first 7 string so I can figure if I like this configuration enough to go for a EBMM next year (Majesty or JP15-7...)

Got it a month ago and decided to do a setup and change the strings. I was a bit surprised when I removed the back plate and saw how the springs were attached.

I was going to put them in a more symmetrical position but decided to ask you guys here first if it was normal for a 7?

Thanks in advance and keep rocking!

They're opposite; if you're gonna do the V, they should be spread out equally on the claw and veer toward the bass end on the trem block. I think the person who did that knew that, but accidentally did it opposite lol.

Thanks!

That's what I originally thought but I figured I'd ask to some experienced MMers ;)
