You would sell your current Bongo in order to get the LE?

"The only way I'd sell my Bongo is if BP came out with a better Bongo."

Paraphrased, but seems to be a recurring theme.

Now, I think I'm being reasonable. Even intelligent. Yet even the mildest concepts are greeted with a loud klaxon and a blinking red DENIED across my computer screen.

Nick blew the klaxon on your wife when she called to put the deposit on the '07 Blue Dawn Bongo for you. He followed that up with "deposit denied" :D I am SO proud of my family!

But you knew that already..... I've got a note here to buzz you Thursday or Friday next week. Like I'm gonna take a deposit without giving any pricing info - you'd think I'm lining my pockets and buying up more stores!

DING DING DING DING DING!!!!!

We have a winner!

In the initial Dargin Delight thread http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-basses/15952-lets-honest-here-10.html#post209602 in June 2006, Dargin first posted a pic of his blue Bongo. During the discussion I said that Martini Olive Green really doesn't do it for me, but the blue of Dargin's Bongo is stunning.

In this post, on June 23 http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-basses/15952-lets-honest-here-4.html#post211407 I said:

Listen, if you do the Blue Burst Bongo I'll not only buy one, paid in full up front, I'll make a donation to the CLB foundation of 20% of the price. I'd do more if I could afford it.

I'M NOT KIDDING.

Now, I'm nowhere near naive enough to think that statement had ANYTHING AT ALL to do with the decision to use that finish for the 07 LE. But I try not to make empty promises so it's time to step up to the plate and carry through.

When the bass gets delivered, I'll send a check for 20% of the final price to the CLB foundation.

I can't carry through on the first part of the promise because Pete won't take my money.

Midopa, PM me your shipping address and which strings you want.

PS: The second part of the challenge is still open for Midopa only...second set of strings up for grabs if you get it!
