I recently saw an eBay auction for a '95 EVH model and noticed that the Schaller tuners were quite different than others I've seen on this model.

Does anyone have any information on these tuners?

Thanks!

WoW ... 30+ views and nobody knows anything about these two different style tuners?

I've never seen the Schaller "script" style tuners on an EVH.
Are they replacement tuners?
Or did they use them during production?
If so, what year did they start using them?

I really don't know anything about it. It's difficult to tell what's written on the different tuners because of the resolution. And there are a million different possible explanations, some of which you've named. I'm betting the only people who know enough to hazard an answer are EBCS and maybe an EVH expert (like brett).
It seems to me that the tuners are the same except for the script. It might be a switch on Schaller's end??
What year was your EVH built, because the two might be quite different.

Hi guys, Those are correct Schaller tuners and I have noticed the script letter Schallers used towards the end of production on the EVH from late July 1995 to late September 1995. My only guess is that Schaller changed how they put their name on the back of the tuner and after trying it this way they decided to change it back the the ingraved S. Either way, they are great tuners!
