You got some willpower, Big Al. I couldn't do it. I'd be thinking "Thanksgiving present." ;)

Congrats again!!!

Congrats rokkitt, that is a great way to start. Hey I just did the same ;)

Edit: Don't buy a bongo until they offer us this:

:D

I dearly love that bass and would buy one like it in a New York Minute.

But I had a chance to pick it up once.

Y'know what?

It weighs a frakkin' ton.

I'd love to own it, but I don't think I'd like to play it for three hours.

how do I adjust the truss rod? there was no tool included.....how do I spin that round thing with the holes?

Any suitably stiff object that fits. A 1/8" Allen key will do.

Personally, I keep one of these in each of my bass cases. It's perfect. I stab it through the foam in the side of the accessory compartment...leaves no mark at all in the case and stores securely so there's no chance of it scratching the bass. It's large enough to not get lost, and long enough to provide good leverage if the trussrod wheel is a bit stiff.

It's a #1 Phillips screwdriver.

it needs the truss rod adjusted, and a set up...so that is keeping it in the box.

i am kinda lazy!....and I am practicing for a gig.

thanks for the truss rod info.....

30ths are awesome. I run mine at home with my b15n and plan to use it for recording in a couple of months. I dont plan on taking it out to gigs. Its too nice. Making myself a custom bass for war and gigging.

give the bass some love and then some more (first you do the setup carefully.. slow.. taking care not to miss a single spot.. then when youre good and warm you can start playing.. take it easy and then work the tempo up... :D)

the 30th is too good to be left alone in the box under that dark cold bed.. ;)

MrM

ps: i prefer a standard 3mm allen wrench when adjusting. there should never be a need to apply more pressure than the good 2 inch length will give ya... i cant insert a smiley here or else everybody will think im talking dirty.. heheh
