Fellas, I bought chrome knobs with MOP tops for my burnt apple SR5 but can't decide whether or not to keep them on (I knida like the stock black ones too). The pics show only the volume and treble w/the new knobs and bass/mid w/the stock knobs. What do ya think?

I like the knobs to have a contrast against the pickguard, so my opinion would be --black! But it really comes down to what you want..doesn't it..

I like 'em! Did you get them from WD? Sell 'em to me if you decide not to keep them!

Now paint your pickup cover white (or exchange the black one for a white one), and get a white switch knob and you'll be all set.

They do make black chrome w/MOP tops - I guess I'll have to buy those too. Who was it that said this is an expensive forum? Oh yeah, me.

Or if you want to get really funky, try the RED pearl with the black base dome knobs. Way cooler IMHO.

I built a p-bass kit, painted it blue and put the MOP p/g and knobs on it. I really like that look. Really dresses up the bass.

I only installed two (chrome w/MOP) for comparison purposes (I bought 4)

OK, so I'll have basic black, chrome w/MOP, black chrome w/MOP, and black chrome w/Red ABA. Sounds good - I can chnge the style/look at approx $50 a set - still much cheaper than buying a new bass. I do need a bigger gig bag to store all my knobs & pickguards now.

Anyone have a source for aftermarket MM-type 3-switch knobs?
or Pick-up Covers?

You might want to start pulling a trailer to gigs with you with all of your knobs and p/gs inside. That way you can change the looks of your bass to match the decor of the place you're playing.
