I think you will like the Big Al, you already have a good stable of Bongos, and you will look really cool playing one which is, of course, the main consideration.

The H is a sub-9 pound gigging monster. It gets most of the play time these days.

Re the GC... not a big fan of the Reflex shape or black basses. GC in a Big Al body would have me whipping the debit card out so fast I'd sprain my wrist. GC in a Big Al body with a roasted neck would have me sucker-punching old ladies to get to the head of the line.

If weight is the main issue, there's no guarantee that the Big Al 5 will be any lighter. If you want something different, then go for it.

I like mine, however I have yet to bond with it (if that makes any sense).

Can't have both.

Why not ? :D

Seen plenty of pics of your Desert Gold HHp an ..... its a very desirable looking bass so if you were to sell it then I'm guessing you would regret it .

Get the BA then make up your mind of who to keep (if it ever gets that far! :p )

Can you pick up a BA and keep the one you like best? Ultimately you'll be back at your original number... But with less "risk".

But beware of what your starting (again)... The GAS locomotive is pulling out of the station! :)

Just dont do anything you may regret, i would think long and hard about it. I have a musicman sabre, I never play it but dont sell it due to rarity , now your bass is not as rare but sentimental attachments may make it to you.
