Hey all you pick players out there. I'm clueless about these things (and lazy). I wanna see what it is like to play with a pick. So if anyone would be so kind, could you send me your favorite style of pick? PM me for addy if interested.

or if you're making it out to Dallas, could you bring some spares?

I play those skinny 6 string things - but I play them with a 2mm Gator Grip which has been likened to a roof tile - Its a mans pick!
I'll bring a load

I will bring you a couple to Dallas. Don't play often with a pick but when I do there is only one I will play with.

I'll be bringing my usual assortment of copper, plastic, aluminum (aluminium), rubber, and felt picks with me to Dallas. :D

When I started using picks, the regular-size picks would slip out of my hands whenever I started playing faster. To compensate for my lousy technique, I got slightly larger picks, just about the size of a half-dollar coin I think, for the extra surface area to grip onto. Using regular picks isn't a problem anymore, but I'll be sure to bring some of the larger ones anyway. :)

Don't use them much, but when I do, it is either the Ernie Ball heavies or F*nder Mediums.

I still have some 1.8 and 2.0 Tortex Dunlop : I like the grip of those. But since I got in the funk-jazz style I don't use them often anymore.

I use the .88mm Green Dunlop picks. I just switched from the 1mm blue ones. I have only fooled around with picking, have never used that technique at a gig. My band is pressing me to use it more then. My response is "I don't wanna be a guitar player." I have to admit, though, it adds a cool tone in some situations/songs.

I had that same attitude about playing with a pick until I saw Bobby Vega play last week. Now I want to learn to play with a pick.
