I'm following this in the news overhere... Looks like it's going to be some tragedy for California!

I'm hoping no-one here gets hurt and that weatherconditions will change soon... Keep the faith and get the hell out of there if necessary!

Its been a crazy experience, but I think the worst is over for the San Diego area.
I have unloaded my truck and played my SS a bit :)

My mom just called and is back in her place in Rancho Benardo, so thats another good sign.

One of the most incredible storys coming out of all this it the shear amount of community support from all around.
The number of people that donated time, food, supplies, services, entertainment, you name it, was simply massive and over the top.

it is devastating. Around 25,000 + houses are under watch and they may be in danger. I pray for those of you who are in that region of California.

Well, I wish you all the best guys! I don't know much about fires, but few years ago in Poland there was a flood in southern area. It was a real cataclysm, thousands of people suddenly lost their life time work, homes, all they used to had. Since that time every year is a another threat of the flood and as far as my really good friends live nearby the dangerous area I know what you feel guys!

I'm with you and wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart!

The atmosphere around here is absolutely weird. I live and work quite a distance away from the fires, but the soot and ash is everywhere. I usually take a 1 1/2 mile walk every day at lunch, but I am sitting tight today. I don't want to breathe that stuff.
