Hey All,

I have narrowed down my September purchase (and last Guitar for the year) to the following:

2011 JP6 Fully Loaded El Dorado Gold - New Bridge No SS Frets
2012 JP6 Fully Loaded Sky Blue
2013 JP6 Fully Loaded Mystic Dream
2013 JP6 Fully Loaded Pearl Red Burst

So right away, I know....its just the difference in color, However I would love to hear why these colors ring with the members.....

I love them all for different reasons and thats why Im having a hard time. I know this is very subjective but I need a shove. Example, I have always wanted a Mystic Dream but it seems like a lot more for a color...maybe someone here can convince me its worth it.....I have 4 kids and Im in software sales, Im selling and getting sold all day long.....I want to be sold on a finish...

(BTW - I own or have owned the new gen of JP's but Im looking old school specifically)

Thank you to anyone willing to play.....

Well that is easy Mystic Dream, yes worth the extra bucks! Coolest color around (well besides Martini Olive green) wish it was an option on other MM guitars.

Get yourself a MD and be happy, I love JP and DT but that neck profile is not for me or I would still have my MD Pet! :)

mystic dream, it´s just "that" JP color...it was the first color i´ve seen on the JP guitar and john played made it to his main guitar-color back in these days.
pearl red burst is as well a "only on JP guitars" color, but i don´t like the chrome hardware with it (luckily they made 25 of these for the EU countries with black hardware, i got one)

sky blue looks nice as well, but i only know it from picures, never seen one in real life. in the end it´s just "one solid color"
burst-colors look cool on JP guitars, as well as color-changing ones, but just "a solid color" is not my cup of tea.
and a gold one ..... i don´t like gold guitars.

Mystic Dream is the quintessential JP color. Nothing else defines or suits the JP better that this color. I am also partial to Pearl White, but from your list Mystic Dream is the ultimate choice.

Mystic dream all the way. It's an iconic guitar in an iconic color. It's just a must have. The color is incredible in person, by the way.

Of the colors presented, I have to pile on to Mystic Dream - but... What about going all out for a BFR?

I know a guy that started out convinced on a Mystic Dream that ended up with a Solar Burst BFR - that guy would be me! :)

Ok, you guys are really driving me to the MD, and I like it. I have never been one to ask anothers opinion on what kind of guitar would be my next as it is so subjective however having help choosing a finish is fun and why Im a part of this forum...

Kestrou - I hear you on the BFR but for some reason I really want an old school fully loaded....The more and more I think about it the MD finish is growing and growing on me.....

If you're ever on stage and you've got fresnels or spots hitting you at different angles, the Mystic Dream will definitely be THE looker.

That finish blows me away. Made me so sad to part with a MD Jp6.

Personally, I think MD is a dime-a-dozen and an old finish. El Dorado Gold is gorgeous and uncommon.

BOOM!!!! You just blew my mind........Yeah the ED Gold is growing on me for sure and I do like the idea of a less common finish......

So are you saying No-MD and if so what colory grabs you?

No, I do like Mystic Dream.

But, of your choices I prefer Eldorado Gold. I like gold guitars. They look classy to me. Timeless; to me, a goldtop is always in style.
